This probably should have been in the book. There is no doubt in my mind. However, I was in a different head space at the time. I also believe that there are reasons for delays. When I started on this coaching journey, I was definitely hesitant to talk about my faith when it comes to money. How would it be received? I do not want to be pushing God on anyone. Then I had a conversation with my mentor. Scott said to not shy away from it. People will know where you stand. They can decide whether they want your services and you do not have to hide your beliefs. That piece of advice was why I was able to write my book and be unashamed. That is not what this is about, but I am so grateful that I did not listen to my fear of people’s response.
And he said, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. II Corinthians 12:9
I have a question for you. Why is it that we keep God out of the equation for the most difficult things in our lives? Here are a list of things you may have said before.
“I just don’t know how to get through this”
“I have always been this way”
“My parents were this way”
“That is just the way it is”
Let me tell you about my God. He is more powerful than anything you can think or imagine. Even on your best imagination day, you still need to add an infinity to your wildest dreams. God is strong enough to take you to this journey. He is strong enough to help you change EVERY SINGLE AREA OF YOUR LIFE. The key is to let him in. Let him in on your struggles, fears, doubts, worries, shortcomings, or concerns. He will be able to help you to see where you need to grow and how to do it.
How? I’m so glad that you asked. Have you ever skipped work for a month and still got a paycheck? Nope. To grow with our faith in God we have to communicate with him and learn from his word. How would you know what God is saying to you if you don’t understand how he communicates? God’s grace is sufficient to help you solve any problem in your life. Are you strong enough to trust Him? Show your trust in Him by allowing his word to guide you. If you are looking for a supernatural shift in your life, God needs to be in on the conversation. Do not bring him like the National Guard after the disaster has hit. Let him join in on day 1. Talk to you soon.
